Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Trust

Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Trust strives to save, rehabilitate and release animals that have been injured. The charity has a brilliant centre where most of the care takes place; facilities include a surgery with x-ray equipment, a hospital with an indoor swimming pool that can hold seals or swans, over 60 outdoor aviaries, pens and enclosures, a hedgehog unit and an intensive care unit.

In addition to helping injured animals, the centre runs a 24hr emergency service and is available to help and offer advice. Whilst the charity is not generally open to wider members of the public, there are courses held during the year that give training on how to handle, care for and treat injured wildlife.
