Trick or Treat Recipe: Frozen Apple Treats

This Halloween after being inspired by our recent  review of Little Barker Bakery Bark Me Dog Treats, we decided to look into other easy treats that you can make at home using simple healthy ingredients. Of course we always advise that you talk to your vet before introducing any new food groups into your dogs diet. Please remember that these are considered treats, we advise you should limit the amount you give your pet and that it is part of a balanced diet – too many at once may create a scene in your house worse than any horror film!

Spooktastic Frozen Apple Dog Treat Recipe.

You will need:

Method

Begin by coring and de-seeding the apples, these can then be chopped into chunks. Add to a belnder with a little water and blend until smooth.

Add this apple mix into a bowl with the nonfat plain Greek yogurt. Once well mixed transfer into a measuring jug and pour (carefully) into an ice cube tray.

Place in the freezer and leave until completely frozen (2-3 hours roughly)

Once these are fully set, pop all the cubes out and pop in a Tupperware container and store them in the freezer!

There was a little mix left over so of course Dave was on hand to do the taste test. We love the simplicity of this recipe and Dave certainly enjoyed it too!
