Who are Labrador Welfare?

Labrador Welfare is a breed specific charity that rescues, carers for and rehomes the Labrador Retriever breed. The dogs are cared for in boarding kennels with hard working volunteers who help to groom the dogs, ensure each dog integrates with other dogs and be on-hand to provide any medical care. The charity finds that the use of boarding kennels helps to ease any worries that an owner who puts their dog up for adoption may have.

Those wishing to adopt the dogs can go and visit them plenty of times prior to taking them to their forever home, this ensures the right dogs goes with the right person and a bond is made before. The charity matches a dog to a potential owner based upon the person’s experience and/or knowledge of the breed, their lifestyle and whereabouts they live.
