What this insurance policy covers
The most complete type of dog insurance available, Lifetime policies offer ongoing cover against accidents, illnesses and conditions for an unlimited amount of time – the cover can continue indefinitely as long as your policy is renewed each year. Each condition has an annual limit, but when you renew your policy the condition limit starts again.

Lifetime policy cover levels and details
Our Lifetime policies are designed to provide ongoing cover against lifelong illnesses or conditions; providing a fixed level of cover per condition, per year – year after year.
These policies offer the highest level of protection available from any of our policies, as the annual cover limits they provide will continue to refresh every policy year, as long as the policy is active.
So if your dog was to develop diabetes, its lifetime policy would cover treatment relating to this year after year for the rest if its life, as long as you have the policy with us. That’s why our Lifetime policy is so different to our Time Limited and Max Benefit policies.
We have 4 lifetime policies with annual condition limits ranging from £1,000 all the way up to £6,000.
- Superior Plus
Just like our Time Limited and Max Benefit policies you get some extra benefits on our Lifetime policies. So, not only do they provide lifetime cover for any accidents, illness or conditions but you’ll also get cover for things like:
- Public Liability
- Theft & Straying
- Advertising and Reward
- Holiday Cancellation
- Boarding Kennel
- Death of Pet cover
- Overseas Travel Cover
Our Prestige plan, the highest Lifetime policy we offer, provides three extra benefits not available on any of our other plans:
- Transport Costs
- Personal Accident
- Accidental Damage
These extra benefits are all part of the package that gives the Prestige plan significantly more cover than any other insurance policy we offer.

Lifetime policy benefits
Our Lifetime policies provide benefits that give extra cover above and beyond vets fees, as detailed below. Please note that cover levels differ by plan, and not all plans may feature all of the benefits – please check the cover level table above for specific details.
All benefits have a payout limit as specified in the chosen plan, as detailed in the table above.
Also known as third-party liability cover can help in case legal action is taken against you where your dog is responsible for property damage, injury or even death and you are liable.
Theft & Straying
We provide this benefit just in case of the unfortunate event where your dog was to be lost or stolen and is not found within 45 days, we would look to cover a percentage paid for your pet.
Advertising and Reward
In the unfortunate event of your dog being lost or stolen we will help towards the costs of posters and advertising and provide an award for the return of your pet.
In the unfortunate circumstance that you would have to spend more than 4 consecutive days in the hospital, we help cover the costs of their boarding.
Death of Pet
If your dog passes away we would provide cover towards the price you paid for your pet.
Overseas Travel Cover
Our Overseas Travel Cover will provide cover towards emergency vet treatment your dog might need while you’re abroad, on holiday, or travelling.
If you needed to cancel your holiday because your dog needs life-saving surgery within 14 days before you set off, we would provide cover towards the costs of cancelling.
If you need to use a dog walker while you spend more than 4 consecutive days in the hospital as there is no one to look after your dog, we would provide cover towards the costs for you.
If your dog was to accidentally damage personal property owned by a person who is not responsible for your pet, we will help with any reasonable costs incurred.
If you were ever bitten by your dog and miss work as a result of the injury we would look to cover some of the income lost in the meantime.
If your dog is referred to another practice or vet hospital we will provide cover towards the costs of transporting your pet between the locations.
Please remember, as with any pet insurance policy, pre-existing conditions may no longer be covered if you change provider. The cost of your lifetime policy will increase as your dog gets older. A 20% co-payment (in addition to the fixed excess) will be added when your dog turns 8.
