(Amesbury, Wiltshire) – 12th September 2014 Animal Friends Pet Insurance has donated £25,000 to the Manchester Dogs’ Home after it was set alight killing 60 dogs, and the death toll is still expected to rise.
Animal Friends Pet Insurance was established with the sole aim of generating funds for animal welfare charities around the world. To date, the company has donated over £1.75 million to 304 charities and being able to help in awful circumstances such as this, is the essence of the the pet insurer’s ethos.
Upon hearing the news, Animal Friends Pet Insurance Founder and Managing Director, Elaine Fairfax, immediately sanctioned the donation to help the charity in this most tragic of circumstances.
In regards to the news Elaine said: ‘The situation up in Greater Manchester is an absolute tragedy and my heartfelt condolences go out to all of the dogs that have lost their lives, and to everyone involved with the Manchester Dogs’ Home. No amount of money can repair the damage caused by this senseless act of disregard to life. However, we hope that this donation can go some way in helping to get the charity back on its feet and able to carry on with their vital work.’
