What this insurance policy covers:
The most complete type of cat insurance available, Lifetime policies offer ongoing cover against accidents, illnesses and conditions for an unlimited amount of time – the cover can continue indefinitely as long as your policy is renewed each year. Each condition has an annual limit, but when you renew your policy the condition limit starts again.
Lifetime policy cover levels and details
Our Lifetime policies are our most comprehensive policies, providing our highest level of cover against any accident, illness or condition – giving a defined level of cover per condition, per year, every year the policy is active.
The annual cover limit for each condition refreshes every year the policy is renewed, providing ongoing protection for your cat against lifelong illnesses or conditions.
So, if your cat was to develop a skin condition treatment relating to this would be covered year after year for the rest if it’s life, as long as your policy is active – making the Lifetime policy so different to our Time Limited and Max Benefit policies.
Our 4 Lifetime policies range from £1,000 per condition, per year, up to £6,000 per condition, per year.
- Superior Plus
Our Lifetime policies offer extra benefits for our customers. The benefit levels depend on the cover selected. So, as well as providing lifetime cover for your cat you’ll also have a peace of mind just in case of life’s other mishaps.
- Public Liability
- Theft & Straying
- Advertising and Reward
- Holiday Cancellation
- Boarding Cattery
- Death of Pet cover
- Overseas Travel Cover
Our flagship Lifetime cover level, the Prestige plan, offers three extra benefits not present on the other plans:
- Transport Costs
- Personal Accident

This gives the Prestige plan significantly more cover than any other insurance policy we offer.

Pet insurance premiums increase as your cat gets older, as the chance of your pet getting ill increases. A co-payment is currently payable on claims if you renew your policy after your cat turns 10.
Lifetime policy benefits
Along with varying vet fees cover, each policy comes with a range of extra benefits depending on the level of cover you pick. For more information please check the policy table above where you can compare our different Lifetime policies and their benefits.
All benefits have a payout limit as specified in the chosen plan, as detailed in the table above.
Third-party liability cover if you are found liable because your cat was to be responsible for an incident resulting in somebody else’s property damage, injury or death.
Theft & Straying
If your cat was to be stolen or go missing and is not found within 45 days, we would look to cover a percentage of the cost of your cat or the market value of the breed at the time.
Advertising and Reward
If your cat is lost or stolen we will help cover the costs of advertising while providing a monetary award for the safe return of your cat.
If you have to spend more than 4 consecutive days in a hospital and there is no one to care for your cat we would help towards the costs of boarding your cat.
Death of Pet
This will cover a percentage of the market value, purchase price or the amount specified in your schedule, up to the maximum benefit limit, if your cat passes away.
Overseas Travel Cover
This will provide cover towards emergency vet treatment abroad.
If your cat needs to have life-saving surgery after an accident or illness within 14 days of a holiday we will provide cover towards the costs of cancellation of your holiday.
We will help with reasonable costs for any damage your cat might cause to personal property not owned by you.
This will provide cover towards income lost if you are bitten by your cat while you are caring for it and you miss work as a result of the injury.
This benefit will provide cover towards the costs of transporting your cat to another practice or vet hospital it has been referred to.
Please remember, as with any pet insurance policy, pre-existing conditions may no longer be covered if you change provider. The cost of your lifetime policy will increase as your cat gets older. A co-payment is currently payable on claims if you renew your policy after your cat turns 10.
