Does your pet have an upset stomach?

Whether you’re owned by a dog or a cat, it’s likely you’ll deal with diarrhoea and vomiting – also known as ‘D&V’ – at some point in your pet parenting journey.

Unfortunately, no-matter how hard we try to protect them from illness, our pets could suffer from diarrhoea and vomiting, which is why we’ve created this D&V Hub!

Packed with articles containing handy hints, tips, and advice, our D&V Hub is here to help you and your dog or cat.

How to save money on your pet’s medication

Online pet pharmacies can be a great way to save money on the medication you’d usually get from your vet. Not only can they be cheaper to buy, they could also help you get the most out of your pet insurance.

Should you need to make a claim, here's how you do it...

  • Illustration of a stethoscope beside a pink cross and black arrow pointing east

Ask your vet to submit a claim on our vet claims platform, Pawtal, on your behalf
This means that claims can be dealt with much faster!

  • Icon of a mobile phone and an alert

Making a claim for repeat meds
Repeat medication claims can be submitted online by logging into your account.

  • Icon of a map with a tracking line and start/end points

    Track open and closed claims
Once your claim has been received, you'll be able to track it's progress in your account.

We're sorry to hear your pet has been poorly! The quickest way to make a claim is through your vet. However, if your vet doesn’t use our online claim system, Pawtal, then you can download a paper claim form to pass to your vet.

Need to know more?

After opening the Joii Pet Care app on your smartphone or tablet, you simply follow the on-screen instructions that take you into a virtual waiting room. Then, once the consultation has started, an RCVS-registered vet or vet nurse will guide you through each step of the examination and provide advice on how to help your pet. Following the consultation, if required, you’ll receive a treatment plan within 48 hours.

Please note: Should a Joii vet feel it’s best for your pet to see a vet for an in-person appointment, they can help you find the nearest vet practice, if needed.

If your dog or cat has been sick twice or more, has had repeated bouts of diarrhoea, and/or they’re just not quite feeling themselves, Joii may be able to help.

Important: In an emergency (for example, your pet is extremely lethargic, suffering from breathing difficulties, is clearly in pain, or struggling to stand), please contact your nearest vet practice immediately.

The Joii app cannot be used in an emergency or life-threatening situation, when a pet requires urgent medical treatment.

For example: Please contact your nearest vet practice straight away if you notice your pet is extremely lethargic, suffering breathing difficulties, in pain, struggling to stand, having a seizure, or behaving strangely.
