Time Limited Cat Insurance

Snowy the cat MoneyFact Cat Insurance Provider of the year 2018 award

What this insurance policy covers

Cover for accidents, illnesses and conditions up to a maximum of 365 days from onset or until the individual condition limit is reached – at this point the cover for that condition will stop and you will not be able to claim for it again. This policy also has an annual limit for payouts – when reached, cover for all claims will be suspended until the policy is renewed and its annual limit is refreshed.

Time-Limited cover levels and details

Time Limited policies offer a low-cost cat insurance plan surpassing accident-only cover – providing limited-duration cover against acute illnesses and other short-term health issues.

A Time Limited policy offers an economy insurance product, providing a degree of cover for lower premiums than the more comprehensive policies.

So, say your cat was to suffer from a heart murmur, we would look to provide cover for 365 days from the onset of the condition, up to the condition limit. Once those 365 days are over, or when the plan’s condition limit is reached, we would apply an exclusion on your policy relating to the heart.

We offer four different Time Limited policies varying in cover limits. The cover limits range from £500 up to £4,000, per condition, while the annual policy limits range from £3,000 to £10,000.

Time Limited policy benefits

The benefits provided on our Time Limited policies are there to provide extra cover for you and your cat, beyond the average vets’ fees. Not all plans offer the same benefits so don’t forget to check the cover level table above for specific details.

All benefits have a payout limit as specified in the chosen plan, as detailed in the table above.

Public Liability

Also known as third-party liability cover can help in case legal action is taken against you where you are found liable because your cat is responsible for property damage, injury or even death.

Theft & Straying

We provide this benefit just in case of the unfortunate event where your cat was to be lost or stolen and is not found within 45 days, we would look to cover a percentage paid for your pet.

Advertising and Reward

This will provide cover towards advertising if your cat is lost or stolen, and provide an award for the return of your pet.

Boarding Cattery

This will provide cover towards the cost of boarding your cat should you have to spend more than 4 consecutive days in hospital.

Death of Pet

If your cat passes away we would provide cover towards the price you paid for your pet.

Overseas Travel Cover

Our Overseas Travel Cover will provide cover towards emergency vet treatment your cat might need while you’re abroad, on holiday, or travelling.

Holiday Cancellation

Cover towards holiday cancellation or curtailment costs, where your cat needs life-saving surgery following an accident or illness within 14 days of your leaving date.
