What our Max Benefit policies cover
With our Max Benefit policies you can claim up to a set amount for vet fees for each condition your cat might have. For example, if you have our Max Value policy, your limit for each condition will be £1,000.
You can claim for as many different conditions as you need to and there is no time limit for how long you can claim for each condition as long as you renew with us each year.
Once you reach the limit for a condition, you won’t be able to make a claim for it again and the cover limit will not be reset when you renew the policy each year.

Cover amount
Our Max Benefit cat insurance policies are different to our Time Limited and Lifetime policies, providing a fixed level of cover per condition, as defined by the chosen plan. As long as the policy is live, costs up to the cover level can be claimed in whatever time period you need.
These policies also include additional benefits such as cover for if your cat is stolen or goes missing (if you paid for them) or if they injure someone or damage their property - providing extra protection and assistance to complement your vet fee cover limit.

Pet insurance premiums increase as your pet gets older. We use a number of things to work out your price each year. These include the age of the pet, where you live and the cost of vet fees. Excesses apply to all our policies and a co-payment is currently payable on claims if you renew your policy after your cat turns 10 years old.

Has your cat been to the vet for anything other than routine vaccinations?
If your cat has been unwell or was injured before, this is known as a pre-existing condition. Pre-existing conditions aren't covered by our policies.
We consider a condition to be pre-existing if it was first noticed before your policy start date or within the waiting period, whether your cat needed treatment previously or not.
How much cover do you need?
Our average vet claim was £902 in 2024.
Knowing how much your cat could cost is important so you’re prepared with the right type of policy and we’re here to help with cover up to £12,500 in a year.
