What is Max Benefit

Cover details

Our Max Benefit dog insurance policies are different to our Time Limited and Lifetime policies, providing a fixed level of cover per condition, as defined by the chosen plan.

As long as the policy is active, costs up to the cover level can be claimed in as short or long a time period as you need – offering a dependable, known quantity of protection for your dog, available when you need it.

So, say your dog was to cut its paw on a piece of glass we would cover the costs of any treatment up until your chosen condition limit was reached.

Once the benefit limit for a condition is used up, that condition becomes excluded. But, we would look to cover any other accidents in the future.

Cover levels

We offer 3 Max Benefit policies, ranging from £1,000 per condition up to £4,000 per condition with no other policy limits. Each unrelated condition will be treated separately, with its own claim limit.

  • Death of Pet cover
  • Overseas Travel Cover
  • Holiday Cancellation
  • Dog Walker

The benefit features available in the Max Benefit plan increase the scope of cover provided for you and your dog.

Vet fees vary from practice to practice, so to give you an idea of what to expect here’s a list of Animal Friends’ average vet fee claims for some of the most common dog treatments.

The below table shows the average cost of vet fees claims per condition submitted to Animal Friends Insurance in 2018. To make this information more specific to your dog we’ve grouped dogs into sizes, ranging from Miniature to Giant. This is based on the top 10 breeds insured with us per size group, and the 15 most common conditions claimed for by our customers, for each size, in 2018.

Please review the information you feel is most relevant to the size of your dog. It's important to consider that vet fees can vary based on your location, the age of your pet, and the severity of the condition.
