Helping charities in desperate need
The festive season is a time when family and friends get together to celebrate but while we’re coming together, some are struggling to cope.
Animal rescue and rehoming charities across the UK are overwhelmed with the number of animals now being given up following the pandemic pet boom and the cost of living crisis too. We’re giving a total of £100,000 to 10 incredible UK animal charities to help ease some of the struggles they’re facing, but they still need your help.
You could be exactly what a charity needs to change an animal’s life. We’ve made it even easier for you to help animal charities in desperate need of support.
You can give them a happier tail to tell this season?
Our dedicated volunteering platform, Animal Friends Giving Back, gives you the chance to make a difference, wherever you are and whatever you do!
Helping charities across the country by volunteering your skills, talents, and time to change the future of animals everywhere. You can help build social following, spread awareness, start fostering, give goods, share your time and skills, help provide care, or just offer something a charity may not know they need. From the small and simple to big acts of kindness, there’s something for everyone.
Help create your own Tail of Hope for these lonely pets and other animals across the UK.

Why we want to help
Animal Friends is the only leading UK pet insurer founded to make a difference. For over 20 years we have supported animal welfare charities and conservancies all around the world, providing vital funds to help protect some of the most vulnerable animals at home and in the wild, and using our brand and our voice to champion for improvements in animal welfare.
We understand that now, more than ever, this support is critical due to the struggle with rising costs, overcrowding following the pet pandemic boom, volunteer availability, and a general reduction in funding support.
We want to help empower animal lovers to make a difference, wherever they are and whatever they do by volunteering their skills, talents and time (plus much more!) to ease the pressures faced by charities near and far.
