Bulley the Dog Passes Away

We were very sad to hear that Bulley, our 2014 Rehomed Pet World Cup champion, has passed away after a battle with cancer.
Bulley became a media sensation when he was finally rehomed after nine years at the Hilbrae kennels in Telford. Babs and David Bufton, from Devon, adopted Bulley in 2013 before taking him to America, where they have settled. The bull-type crossbreed kept his huge internet fan base informed of his adventures through his blog, as well as promoting other dogs looking for homes.
In 2014 Bulley won the Animal Friends Rehomed Pet World Cup, winning a £5,000 donation for Hilbrae against 31 other pets. His story captured the hearts of thousands, many of whom are still engaging with his social media.
His loving owners say that rehoming Bulley was the “best thing they have ever done” and continue to use his Facebook page to raise awareness for dogs in need of new homes.
We’d like to offer our condolences to Babs and David. We’re sorry for your loss, and know that Bulley was lucky to have had such a wonderful year with you.
Well-wishers can send messages of comfort through Bulley’s Facebook page or make a donation to the Bulley Foundation, which has been set up to raise funds for rescue centres.
