Top predicted pet names in 2020

Choosing a new name for a cat or dog is one of the most exciting things about welcoming a new pet. Some people will know their pet’s name months before getting them, while others wait to learn about their personalities before naming them.

Whatever the case, their name is important and requires some thought. According to dog chew brand Tasty Bone these are some of the predicted top pet names of 2020, which might provide some inspiration to those still hunting for the perfect name.

Elsa

With the release of Frozen 2 we just know kids are going to go crazy for anything related to the new film, including naming their pet after the film’s protagonist. We might see some Annas, Olafs, Kristoffs and Svens, too.

Harley

Another film-inspired name, Harley Quinn is set to be centre stage in DC’s Birds of Prey which could see a rise in pooches and kitties being named after the anti-hero.

Simba

Following the remake of the beloved 1994 animated film, Lion King, we can expect a lot of Simbas to be prowling about.

Luke

A popular name from a very popular film franchise, and with yet another title released this month we think Luke will be popular amongst pet parents.

Lady

With Lady and the Tramp reimagined in CGI released earlier this year, it’s possible families and other Disney fans might be inspired by the adorable Cocker Spaniel.
