The Home counties Boxer Welfare aim to rehome those boxers who, through no fault of their own, have to find a new family. They also try to help with general advice on the Boxer breed and any problems which may arise.
Their work consists of booking in and vetting homes available, taking details of dogs to be relocated, transporting Boxers from home to home, and running a back up service when required. Although they aim to place dogs directly from one home to another, it is sometimes necessary to invoke the use of kennels and foster homes on a temporary basis. Where there is difficulty in rehoming a dog due to age or medical condition, they can offer help with veterinary fees. They also aim to promote responsible Boxer ownership by holding training sessions, mainly in basic obedience, together with fun classes for all.
