Animal Welfare is at the heart of what we do.

Did you know Animal Friends Pet Insurance was established in order to donate to animal charities?

Animal Friends was founded in 1998 with the sole aim of providing pet insurance as a means to help support animal welfare charities both in the UK and around the world.

This aim is at the core of what we do and so far we have donated millions to all sorts of animal charities. From local rescues run by volunteers to massive international organisations, we will consider all requests for help and consider ourselves privileged to be able to help vulnerable animals.

We couldn’t do this without our brilliant customers because every pet insurance policy brought by them enables us to help nurture and save neglected animals wherever we can.

Our Focus

Here at Animal Friends we are not only strong advocates for the welfare of animals, but also for the environment.

We are profoundly concerned about national and local issues such as habitat and ecosystem conservation, plastic use, waste reduction, the use of palm oil, deforestation, climate change and global warming. As a growing company, we believe each individual can actively make a difference.

We understand there is no ‘quick fix’ to these problems, so we strive to educate and encourage our employees and customers to be mindful, and why we support charities such as WDC, Wildlife Aid, Marine Conservation Charity and Tusk.

The £100k Charity Giveaway

In celebration of over 20 years of improving the lives of animals home and afar, we’re sharing the love in a big way.

Each Christmas, Animal Friends gives away a whopping £100K to one of three incredible animal charities, nominated by our fantastic friends and partners. The power to make a difference is in the hands of our customers, friends and followers, who collectively cast over 40,000 votes. But, that’s not all; each runner up also receives a large donation, as everyone is a winner, and nobody goes home empty handed!

Last year, the grand winner was StreetVet, and the runners up were Celia Hammond and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. Thank you so much from all of us to everyone that took the time to vote and help raise awareness of these three great causes.

Could your charity be a winner next year? Keep your eyes and ears peeled on our website and social media accounts!
